Struggles in life are inevitable. We can’t control a lot of things that are thrown our way but we can control how we react.

Many people and things are fleeting. Some may come and go and others may stay for a long while but change overtime. There’s no way of predicting the future and what people might do, but again, all you can do is control how you react.

I remember growing up and always asking why. Why do people hurt people? Why is there suffering in the world? Why don’t things run smoothly all the time, particularly for people who are genuine and have a kind heart? I didn’t always get the answers that I was looking for, but one thing I did come to find, is that in amidst of all the uncertainty, God is true and his word lives forever. Of course, that wasn’t a revelation I received overnight, but through the trials and tribulations, I came to understand that though my circumstance change, God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

As the I AM, His steadfastness keeps me steady in turbulent situations. His assurance and certainty via the testimonies of our patriarchs, is a testament to who He is and what He will do.

So a word of encouragement. The next time the surface level on which you stand seems uneasy, lean onto the shelter of the Most High and rest in his almighty shadow. (Psalms 91:2). There you will find that very thing that will not only sustain you, but will also keep you going.

May the Lord divinely sustain you and continue to keep you. All praises to the Most High.
